We have spent the past nine months gathering some information on our favorite local stops on the outskirts of Puerto Nuevo. We have been looking for economical coffee shops, breakfast stops, snack stops, taco stands, out door markets, and interesting and fun stops that will feed you on a budget.
We asked a lot of locals where they like to go. So enjoy yourselves. Get out there and seek these fine places out. They have ALL been tested by our travel, food, editorial, and sales staff.
Some serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner and you can count on some excellent grub for a reasonable fare. From hamburgers, Mongolian BBQ, Chinese, to McDonalds, and WalMarts, we will tell you how to get there!

Agapo Santos, magician/chef at Splash, is our #1 favorite chef at the moment. Everyone in town is talking about the food, the scenery, and the location. We won't mention who, but a few people on our staff dream about the place daily.
Agapo and his brother, Nicholas own Splash. A new restaurant, just south of Puerto Nuevo, that was opened just about 9 months ago. If you love seafood......this is your stop.
If meat is your thing, this is not your stop, but if you love shrimp and fish, and waves, and hanging with the locals - don't miss Splash. Check out our full review under this section of our site.
Tipping Don't forget to tip! Tipping is expected and, just like in the States, should be at least 15% according to the service received, and of course, your budget.
